While Jumbo and Clarence roamed across the broad expanse of the savannah, Kong and Bruce were at home in the rainforest – and these experiences continue to inform their taste in flowers to this day: Jumbo and Clarence prefer bright colours and opulent shapes, because they were barely familiar with them in their former lives. Our apes, meanwhile, have remained true to their roots as jungle animals and prefer green and dense vegetation. Admittedly, despite their affinity with nature, all of our animal vases have one thing in common: they have a real aversion to water. Clarence in particular is somewhat theatrical and winces with fright as soon as even just a splash of water lands on him. We are not really sure what triggered this trauma – we are still working on it with him. However, the fact is that our special designer planters feel most comfortable with little water contact. You should therefore protect the plant containers from rain and refrain from putting any flowers in them without an additional pot!
