Painting The Parrots Of Percy, hand painted

The Parrots of Percy is a work about authenticity, presence and the courage to wear one's own colours visibly. The central figure sits calm and collected, eyes closed, completely at one with herself. Five parrots rest on her, looking in different directions and charging the picture with colour, personality and lively diversity. They do not appear decorative, but like a living ornament - an expression of inner clarity rather than external staging. The couture suit combines earthy red and orange tones with dark blue accents and anchors the motif in an elegant, self-confident world of colour. The deep green, emerald-like background reinforces the calm dignity of the scene and allows the intense parrot colours to shine without dominating the composition. Despite the variety of colours, the picture remains controlled and balanced. The Parrots of Percy is about not explaining oneself and not holding back. Personality is not exhibited here, but worn as a matter of course. Each work is painted by hand in the WERNS® studio and is a studio original. Small variations in the application of colour make each picture unique within the series.
